Job Title: Head of Technology

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)

Salary Range: ₦1.8M - ₦2.3M/month

Reports To : Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Role Overview:

A visionary and experienced Head of Technology is sought to lead the engineering team within a key business unit. The ideal candidate will drive technical strategy, innovation, and high-performance execution while aligning engineering efforts with the company's broader goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy: Lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams; drive alignment with business goals.

Technical Execution: Oversee development of scalable software; champion best practices in engineering.

Product Development: Collaborate with product teams to prioritise and deliver high-quality features.

Talent Development: Recruit and nurture top talent; promote a culture of growth and innovation.

Stakeholder Management: Act as a bridge between engineering and executive leadership; represent the company externally.

Data Privacy Compliance: Ensure secure processing and handling of personal and sensitive data.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or Engineering (MBA is a plus)

Experience:

10+ years in software engineering, 6+ years in leadership (preferably in SaaS or tech environments)

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Java, Node.js, Angular, Ionic, Postgres

Familiar with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes

Leadership:

Strong strategic, communication, and interpersonal skills
