Our client in the Real Estate and Cooperative Housing sector is seeking to appoint a Head, Corporate Finance to support the execution of its landmark housing project and broader investment initiatives.
As a key member of the finance leadership team, this role will drive capital raising, investment analysis, financial modeling, and treasury oversight. The successful candidate will bring hands-on transaction execution experience, particularly in capital-intensive or growth-focused environments, and will be instrumental in securing and structuring financing to support the organisation’s long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising and Deal Execution
Lead the structuring and execution of financing transactions for large-scale real estate projects.
Build relationships with banks, DFIs, and capital market institutions to secure debt and equity funding.
Support negotiations on loan terms, covenants, and financing structures.
Investment Analysis and Valuation
Conduct financial due diligence, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis for new opportunities.
Develop financial models to assess project returns, risks, and viability.
Provide insights to support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
Treasury and Liquidity Management
Manage treasury operations, ensuring strong cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
Monitor foreign exchange, interest rate exposure, and funding risks.
Implement treasury controls aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Strategic and Governance Support
Translate strategic initiatives into practical financing structures and investment cases.
Prepare presentations, board papers, and investor materials for capital raising initiatives.
Ensure all transactions comply with Nigerian regulations, cooperative laws, and international financing standards.
Reporting Structure and Relationships
Reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Works closely with project managers, legal advisors, and financial institutions.
Provides strategic input to the Board through the CFO.

Maintain transparency, accountability, and ethical standards in all financial dealings.
Demonstrate agility in managing complex, multi-party financial transactions.
Support the CFO in strengthening investor confidence and ensuring long-term capital stability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory.
Strong expertise in valuation, financial modeling, and deal structuring.
Practical experience in capital raising, treasury oversight, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
