Position Summary

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health and operations of our global remittance business. From managing multi-currency cash flows to ensuring compliance with international financial regulations, this role is essential for maintaining financial integrity, managing risk, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with Sharperly’s growth goals.
• Develop financial models to support new market entries, pricing strategies, and margin improvements.
• Manage daily financial activities, including transaction reconciliation, payout tracking, and settlement reporting.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
• Present financial insights and strategic advice to executive leadership.
• Oversee global liquidity and fund movements across multi-currency accounts and banking partners.
• Monitor operational float, reserve levels, and real-time funding needs across sending and receiving markets.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, tax, and AML obligations in all operational regions.
• Work closely with compliance and operations teams to support internal and external audits.
• Enhance internal controls to reduce financial risks related to remittance flows.
• Coordinate with banks, FX providers, and local payout partners for settlements, reconciliation, and cost savings.
• Manage currency conversion strategies to minimise FX exposure and boost profitability.
• Improve financial processes through automation and integration with Sharperly’s platform.
Recommend and implement tools and systems that streamline financial reporting and control measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/CA or MBA preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in finance roles, preferably within fintech, banking, or international payments.
• Strong understanding of remittance workflows, multi-currency operations, and financial compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and reporting tools (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
