Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Ticketing Officer to join our growing travel team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with global distribution systems (GDS) and a deep understanding of airline ticketing procedures. Success in this role means being highly accurate, organized, and responsive, ensuring seamless travel bookings for clients while maintaining excellent service standards.
As a key member of our operations team, the Ticketing Officer plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth booking process that supports the overall travel experience and reputation of our agency.
- Timely and error-free issuance of flight tickets and itinerary management.
- High customer satisfaction through responsive communication and proactive problem-solving.
- Accurate handling of payments, refunds, and travel documentation. Seamless collaboration with sales and visa departments to deliver full-service travel solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ticketing processes including flight reservations, ticket issuance, reissues, and cancellations using GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo).
- Handle group bookings, special requests, and last-minute travel changes efficiently.
- Provide clear, prompt, and professional customer service to address travel inquiries and resolve ticketing issues.
- Advise clients on travel routes, airline regulations, fare rules, and visa requirements.
- Process various forms of payments including cash, POS, and online transfers, and manage refunds in accordance with airline policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline schedules, promotional fares, and travel trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma ; a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of proven experience in a travel agency or airline ticketing role.
- Proficient in Amadeus , Sabre , and Galileo GDS systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
