Job Description
The Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of Nigerian dishes and intercontinental dishes. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, creative and able to work under pressure while maintaining the highest food quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Nigerian pastry, meals and intercontinental meals.
- Skilled with food preparation, plating and overall kitchen coordination.
- Ensure food is cooked and presented to meet quality, portion and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen at all times.
- Manage stock levels and kitchen supplies efficiently.
- Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and safety procedures strictly.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian cuisine and familiarity with intercontinental dishes.
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and HACCP standards.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional attitude, punctuality and strong team spirit.
- Culinary certification or equivalent professional training is an added advantage.
