Job Summary:
A leading hospitality company is seeking an experienced and fluent Chinese Translator to bridge communication between Chinese-speaking clients and the internal team. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in both Mandarin (or Cantonese) and English, with excellent interpersonal skills and hospitality etiquette.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate verbal conversations and written documents between Chinese and English
- Assist Chinese-speaking clients with inquiries, reservations, and service requests
- Interpret for meetings and client interactions in a professional setting
- Support the team in understanding Chinese business customs and communication styles
- Ensure accurate, context-sensitive translation while maintaining confidentiality
- Assist in preparing bilingual hospitality materials and documentation
Requirements:
- Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese and English (written and spoken)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a translator/interpreter (hospitality experience preferred)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and in fast-paced environments
- Culturally aware and sensitive in handling communication nuances
