We are seeking highly qualified Chemistry professionals to support AI training projects by providing expert review, evaluation, and annotation of chemistry-related content. You will assess the accuracy of AI-generated answers, label chemistry data, and provide clear explanations to improve large language models (LLMs) in the scientific domain.

This is a remote, independent contractor role ideal for those who want flexibility while applying their chemistry expertise in a cutting-edge technology space.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated chemistry content for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
• Annotate and label chemistry data, ensuring precision and consistency.
• Provide written explanations and feedback on why answers are correct or incorrect.
• Work across various chemistry subfields: organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, and biochemistry .
• Maintain high standards of quality while balancing accuracy and efficiency .
• Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and follow annotation guidelines.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong command of upper-level university chemistry topics (e.g., organic mechanisms, spectroscopy, kinetics, thermodynamics).
• Ability to spot subtle errors in chemical formulas, reactions, and conceptual explanations.
• Excellent written communication skills — able to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Teaching, tutoring, or academic instruction experience in chemistry.
• Prior experience in data annotation, AI training, or content review .
• Cross-disciplinary expertise (e.g., biochemistry, computational chemistry, materials science).
