Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth efforts within the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires strong networks in the C&I solar EPC, telecom infrastructure, or industrial equipment sectors, as well as the ability to close high-value deals with corporate clients.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Market Development: Identify, target, and build strong relationships with C&I clients, including manufacturers, estate developers, malls, banks, telecoms, FMCGs, and SMEs.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve measurable revenue growth and market penetration.
- Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, guiding opportunities from prospecting through to deal closure.
- Client Engagement: Lead client presentations, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts, ensuring solutions align with client needs and deliver strong ROI.
- Partnerships: Establish and nurture relationships with real estate developers, industry associations, and key stakeholders across the C&I ecosystem.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and project teams to ensure client requirements are well understood and solutions are competitively designed.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting: Track KPIs, monitor competitor activity, and provide timely reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and market insights to leadership.
- Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and product launches to strengthen brand presence and generate leads.
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of proven sales success in renewable energy, telecom power solutions, industrial equipment, or B2B infrastructure.
- Strong network and existing client relationships within the commercial and industrial sectors (manufacturing, estates, real estate, or telecoms).
- Demonstrated ability to close high-value deals (₦50m+ projects) with corporate clients.
- Excellent understanding of Nigeria’s energy challenges and the C&I customer pain points.
- Strong financial and ROI-selling skills with the ability to engage C-suite decision-makers.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or sales leadership within relevant industries.
- Entrepreneurial, target-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-moving growth environment.
- Personable, adaptable, and willing to follow laid-out SOPs.
