- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of all transactions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports including sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Reconcile cash, bank statements, and credit card transactions.
- Track accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring restaurant budgets.
- Analyze financial data to identify areas of cost reduction and profit maximization.
- Monitor inventory costs, supplier invoices, and wastage to ensure financial efficiency.
- Process staff payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain records of employee salaries, benefits, deductions, and statutory payments.
- Ensure timely filing and remittance of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Prepare financial documents for audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage daily cash flow and ensure proper cash handling by the cashier/front desk.
- Ensure timely deposits of restaurant income into the company’s bank account.
- Monitor petty cash usage and reconcile accordingly.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
- Advise management on financial risks, opportunities, and improvements.
- Work closely with procurement and operations to align financial goals with business needs.
