We are looking for an experienced and engaging SAT English Tutor to help students prepare for the Reading and Writing sections of the SAT exam. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of English, a passion for teaching, and the ability to help students master grammar rules, reading comprehension, and vocabulary.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach SAT English content including Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Writing & Language skills, and Vocabulary.
- Plan and deliver structured and interactive lessons in a group or one-on-one format.
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to provide targeted instruction.
- Assign practice exercises and evaluate students’ progress regularly.
- Provide exam strategies such as time management, critical reading techniques, and how to eliminate wrong answer choices.
- Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment.
- Collaborate with other tutors or program coordinators to maintain academic quality and consistency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in SAT or standardized test prep.
- Excellent grasp of English grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and effectively manage young learners.
- Tech-savvy and familiar with digital teaching tools.
Preferred
- Prior SAT tutoring experience or high SAT English scores.
- Familiarity with the latest SAT format and scoring system.
