Looking for a skilled and committed private tutor based in Nigeria to provide remote academic support for Year 7 student. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the UK National Curriculum and have experience tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular online lessons using Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms.
- Teach core subjects: Mathematics, English, and Science; other subject support is a plus.
- Customize lessons to suit each child’s level, learning pace, and schoolwork.
- Provide homework support, revision guidance, and regular progress updates.
- Use engaging and interactive teaching techniques to maintain student interest.
- Monitor academic progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
- A degree in Education or a related field (or currently pursuing one).
- Strong understanding and experience with the UK school curriculum, especially for Year 7.
- Previous experience tutoring or teaching, especially in an online setup.
- Excellent English communication and teaching skills.
- Consistent internet connection and access to a reliable device.
- Patience, creativity, and a strong passion for helping children succeed.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Key Stage 3 curriculum content and assessments.
- Ability to support enrichment activities (e.g., creative writing, comprehension, problem-solving, or verbal reasoning).
- Experience working with children of different ages and learning abilities.
