Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Real Estate Account Officer located in Abuja. As a Real Estate Accounts Officer, you are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for all property transactions. You process rent and service charge payments , track tenant accounts, and ensure timely collections . You prepare regular financial reports, reconcile bank and property accounts , and support budgeting and forecasting efforts. You ensure compliance with tax laws and assist during audits by providing accurate documentation. You handle service charge calculations and collaborate with property managers, tenants, and vendors to resolve financial matters. Your role supports strategic decision-making and promotes transparency, accountability, and sound financial management across real estate operations. You are to report to the head of the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in real estate, property management, or a similar financial role (an advantage)
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to prepare budgets, financial reports, and reconciliations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Must have a minimum of a strong Second Class Upper or Upper Credit.
  

Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:

• ACA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant certifications
Experience in the real estate or hospitality industry
