Job Title: Public Relations Account Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Public Relations (PR) Account Manager to lead client campaigns, manage media relations, and support overall brand positioning for our clients. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and confident in navigating both digital and traditional media landscapes. This role requires strong relationship management, communication, and execution skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the agency and assigned clients, ensuring clear communication and consistent delivery of results.
- Plan, execute, and manage strategic PR campaigns tailored to each client’s goals and audience.
- Draft press releases, pitch media stories, and manage outbound communication efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, media outlets, and other key stakeholders.
- Secure earned media placements across print, broadcast, online, and social platforms.
- Organize and manage press briefings, media interviews, client events, and activations.
- Monitor industry trends, track brand mentions, and keep clients updated with relevant media insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, social media, digital marketing) to ensure campaign alignment.
- Prepare detailed campaign reports and performance metrics for client presentations.
- Provide strategic input to the Managing Director on client opportunities, campaign progress, and team support needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in PR, communications, or agency account management.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build strong media relationships and secure press coverage.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian media and digital landscape.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with PR tools, databases, and media monitoring platforms is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or in a remote team.
