Job Description/Requirements
Prime Powerco Limited, a leading player in the engineering, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors, is seeking a Key Account Executive to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role requires an experienced professional with expertise in procurement, project management, engineering, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple units, including HSE, Power as a Service, site engineers, supply chain and procurement, AC technicians, and fibre technicians.
Job Purpose:
The Key Account Executive will be responsible for developing and deepening client relationships, growing revenues, and implementing sales and marketing strategies aimed at enhancing profitability and maximizing stakeholder value. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to maintain long-lasting relationships and achieve business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding customer needs, business opportunities, and requirements.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales and annual forecasts) and generate new sales leads that will result in lasting relationships.
- Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their business objectives.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and company objectives.
- Handle direct interactions with customers, address complaints, and provide timely resolutions.
- Achieve budgeted revenues for assigned customers on a periodic basis.
- Complete requests for proposals, submit quotations, pro forma invoices, and any other necessary documents for customers.
- Collaborate with the implementation team(s) to collect weekly updates on ongoing projects and ensure invoicing for completed and ongoing projects.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of invoices to clients, as well as prompt collection of receivables.
- Submit weekly activity reports and plans to the Business Development Manager (BDM).
- Maintain a tracker for quotes, pro forma invoices, and final invoices submitted to assigned customers.
- Provide customer feedback forms and submit them to customers quarterly to evaluate company performance.
- Convey marketplace information, competition analysis, and customer needs to the BDM, implementing strategies to drive revenue and business growth.
- Provide support in conducting risk assessments when taking on new customer accounts, making recommendations on commercial viability.
- Implement new sales strategies and ensure departmental adherence to industry best practices.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the BDM.
Qualifications and Experience:
- HND/B.Sc. (Required)
- Professional Body Qualifications (Preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development
