Job Summary
The Business Unit Manager –Languages is responsible for leading the growth, expansion and enrichment of indigenous language tutoring services, including Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, and others. This role establishes Languages as a distinct, high-performing product line that serves both Nigerian and international learners.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Revenue & Business Growth
- Own and drive the growth, quality, and profitability of Tuteria’s language learning services. Develop go-to-market strategies to grow the revenue contribution of language products locally and internationally.
Customer Acquisition & Retention
- Increase customer acquisition and repeat usage across all language services. Develop localized onboarding experiences and offer tailored services to both Nigerians and diaspora learners.
Tutor & Product Management
- Collaborate with the People Operations Team to recruit, train, and manage high-quality language tutors. Ensure tutors meet high performance standards and deliver exceptional learning outcomes.
Cross-Unit Collaboration
- Work with the Local and International Business Unit Managers as well as other relevant teams to integrate languages into their customer pipelines. Collaborate with marketing, brands, communications, and product teams to promote language offerings through effective campaigns and experiences.
Market Awareness & Innovation
- Stay up to date with trends in indigenous language education locally and globally. Continuously enhance the language product offering based on customer needs and market feedback.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- BSc. Degree in a relevant course of study
