Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- School Fees Management: Ensure timely collation of school fees, monitoring of fee payments, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Budget Preparation and Implementation: Prepare and implement annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the school's strategic objectives.
- Internal Audit: Develop and implement internal audit plans, conducting regular audits to ensure financial controls are in place and operating effectively.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and the board of trustees, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and policies, maintaining a strong internal control environment.
- Strategic Financial Guidance: Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Team Management: Supervise and develop a team of financial staff, ensuring their skills and knowledge are up-to-date.
Requirements:
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit and financial management, preferably in an educational institution.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations, laws, and policies relevant to educational institutions.
