Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Food FMCG) - Yola

Job Summary:
We are recruiting for an experienced and goal-oriented Area Sales Manager for our client to drive sales performance, distribution, and brand visibility for a leading Food FMCG company in Sokoto. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the Northern market and proven success managing teams and achieving targets in the FMCG space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales targets and ensure consistent performance across assigned territory
- Supervise and support field sales representatives
- Develop effective route-to-market strategies
- Identify and onboard new distributors and monitor their performance
- Maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors
- Ensure availability and visibility of products in the market
- Conduct regular market visits to gather intelligence and ensure compliance
- Analyze sales trends, forecasts, and prepare timely reports
- Train and motivate sales team members for optimum performance
- Ensure adherence to company pricing and credit policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in sales (preferably in Food FMCG)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing a sales team within a designated territory
- Strong knowledge of the Northern market, especially Adamawa and its environs
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
