Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Dentist, located in Ikeja. The Dentist will be responsible for performing routine check-ups, diagnosing oral diseases, creating treatment plans, and conducting dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractions. Maintaining patient records, ensuring patient comfort, and providing emergency dental care are also crucial day-to-day tasks. The Dentist will work closely with dental nurses and dental therapists to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
- Examine teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose dental conditions.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Recommend appropriate preventive, restorative, and surgical procedures.
Dental Surgery and Procedures
- Perform oral surgeries including extractions, root canals, implants, and minor surgical interventions.
- Manage pre- and post-operative patient care to ensure optimal recovery. Maintain strict adherence to surgical protocols and infection control standards.
Preventive and Restorative Care
- Conduct routine check-ups, cleanings, and oral health assessments.
- Administer fillings, crowns, bridges, and other restorative treatments. Provide preventive care guidance, including oral hygiene education and dietary advice.
Patient Education and Communication
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and preventive practices. Address patient concerns, answer questions, and provide reassurance to ease anxiety.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work closely with dental nurses, therapists, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. Mentor and support junior dental staff where necessary.
Clinic Administration and Compliance
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment histories, and consent forms.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, health regulations, and safety standards. Keep up-to-date with advances in dental care and technology.
Professional Development
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and conferences to enhance clinical skills. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the clinic.
