Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Van Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering products to customers, generating sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves driving a company van along assigned routes, maintaining accurate inventory records, and building strong relationships with retailers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and sell company products to existing and potential customers within an assigned route.
- Achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets and objectives.
- Ensure proper merchandising and product display at customer locations.
- Collect payments and issue receipts in accordance with company policy.
- Manage stock levels in the van, ensuring proper rotation of products (FIFO).
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships to foster repeat business.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the sales van at all times.
- Submit daily sales reports, invoices, and inventory records to the sales supervisor.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the territory.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a van sales or field sales role (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required depending on local regulations).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move products regularly.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with the local area and route planning is an advantage.
