Position Summary
A reputable organization is seeking a skilled Trade Finance Executive to oversee all trade finance operations related to imports and exports. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain effective coordination with banks and sister companies. Responsibilities include handling trade documentation, managing letters of credit, and liaising with regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth trade transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all documentation for imports and exports related to banking and operations
- Oversee the Trade Finance desk, including TRMS portal trade forms, NXP, Form M, and related processes
- Draft Letters of Credit (LC) and follow up with banks for timely LC issuance
- Present shipment documents promptly to banks
- Coordinate with the Country Finance Manager to negotiate banking terms and conditions on LCs
- Source Forex from the CBN/I&E Window
- Maintain strong relationships with Relationship Managers (RMs) for import transactions
- Collaborate with sister companies on export and import matters
- Provide recommendations to streamline export and import processes
- Liaise with regulatory agencies such as NAFDAC and SONCAP for certification and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Business, or related field
- Solid knowledge of trade laws, import/export regulations, and international sanctions
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in trade finance management, preferably within a similar industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Compensation
Salary: ₦300,000 (Slightly negotiable)
