RESPONSIBILITY:
- Discussing design ideas and clothing requirements with clients.
- Sketching or visualizing garment concepts.
- Taking accurate body measurements.
- Selecting appropriate fabrics, colors, and accessories.
- Cutting, sewing, and assembling garments according to the design.
- Making alterations and adjustments to ensure proper fit.
- Applying finishing touches like hems, buttons, zippers, and embroidery.
- Repairing and modifying garments as needed.
- Staying updated with fashion trends and tailoring techniques.
- Maintaining sewing tools, machines, and a tidy workspace.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven experience as a tailor or fashion designer.
- Knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and pattern making.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and perform fittings.
- Creativity and a good eye for style, color, and detail.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools.
- Understanding of various fabrics and their handling.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of fashion trends and design principles.
