Job Purpose/ Key Objectives:
- The Strategy & Business Development Manager will identify, evaluate, and drive strategic growth opportunities within the movie post-production ecosystem, including partnerships, market expansion, and new service offerings.
- The job holder will combine deep industry insight with analytical rigor to build and execute business development strategies that position the company as a leader in post-production services (e.g., editing, VFX, colour grading, sound design).
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute medium-to-long-term strategic plans to expand market share and revenue.
- Identify emerging trends in film and post-production technology and translate them into business opportunities.
- Prospect and establish strategic partnerships with studios, production houses, streaming platforms, and agencies.
- Identify and curate a slate of culturally significant stories (acquired or in-house).
- Oversee the development of shortlisted stories.
- Manage multiple simultaneous content projects / production companies.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and post-production teams to ensure expectations and deliverables are aligned.
- Nurture high-value client relationships to increase retention and account growth.
- Identify new opportunities for business expansion.
- Represent Blink Studios in investment group meetings
- Collaborating with group HR on KPI development
- Manage the startup of Blink development houses.
- Conduct competitor analysis, market mapping, and performance benchmarking.
- Produce detailed business cases and ROI projections for new initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular reports to the executive team.
- Work cross-functionally with production, post-production, finance, and marketing teams to align strategy and execution.
- Assist in pricing strategies, go-to-market campaigns, and service innovation.
- Perform all other duties that are necessary and reasonably attached to the Strategy & Business Development Manager (Movie Industry).and fulfillment of its responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Media & Entertainment, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent strategic qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, strategy, or consulting—preferably within the media, film, or entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of managing partnerships or closing deals in a creative or media environment.
- Familiarity with post-production workflows and technologies is highly desirable.
