Role: Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Nigeria (Remote or Hybrid)

VentureConnect Nigeria , an affiliate of uPivotal Inc. , is hiring a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to help architect, build, and scale the next generation of intelligent, AI-powered platforms. From backend systems to frontend interfaces, you’ll work across the stack to deliver secure, high-performance solutions that advance financial, educational, and trade access across Africa.

This is a leadership-level role for a hands-on technologist who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to build with purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement full stack features using Java (Spring Boot) and React (or Angular/Vue).
• Develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Lead architecture decisions and mentor junior developers on engineering best practices.
• Design and manage MongoDB data models and optimize queries.
• Work collaboratively with product, UX, and QA teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code across the stack.
• Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD automation workflows using tools like Jenkins and Docker .
• Help evolve our engineering processes and frameworks as we scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• 7+ years of professional experience in full stack development.
• Strong backend development skills with Java , Spring Boot , and API design .
• Advanced frontend experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Solid experience with MongoDB and NoSQL architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS , Azure , or GCP is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation

• ₦800,000 – ₦1,000,000 per month , based on experience and skill level.
