Full Stack Developer (Contract / Freelance)
Location: Remote (Preference for Nigeria or West Africa)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3–6 months
Compensation: ₦200,000 – ₦600,000/month (Depending on Experience)
Summary
We are a stealth-mode startup on a mission to redefine Africa’s youth experience economy. Our platform is the digital plug for cultural, social, and lifestyle experiences curated for Gen Z and Millennial audiences in Nigeria and the diaspora.
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to help us bring our concierge-style MVP to life. You’ll work closely with the founding and creative team to build and launch a mobile-first web platform integrated with WhatsApp, digital payments, and vendor tools.
Success in this role means rapidly delivering a functional MVP with clean, mobile-responsive design and real-world usability. This is a great opportunity to shape both product and technical direction in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy a mobile-first concierge web application (MVP)
- Design and implement user booking flows and dashboards
- Integrate WhatsApp Cloud API for real-time, chat-based concierge service
- Set up secure user authentication and session handling
- Integrate Paystack and Stripe for local and international payments
- Develop a vendor admin panel (CRUD + notifications)
- Ensure mobile-first, responsive UI/UX
- Write clean, modular, well-documented code
- Communicate progress clearly in a remote-first, async team environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full stack development experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Frontend: React.js / Next.js, Tailwind CSS
- Backend: Node.js, Firebase or Supabase
- Database: PostgreSQL or Firestore
- Messaging: WhatsApp Cloud API, Twilio
- Payments: Paystack, Stripe
- Infra/DevOps: Vercel, Netlify, Railway
- Proven experience integrating third-party APIs (auth, payments, messaging)
- Familiarity with mobile-responsive UI/UX design best practices
- Ability to work independently and iterate quickly with a MVP-first mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Nigerian or West African digital culture is a plus
