Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our finance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving cost optimization, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and budgeting reports.
- Monitor production costs, wastage, and inventory valuation to ensure cost control and operational efficiency.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.).
- Assist in forecasting cash flow requirements and managing working capital needs.
- Work closely with procurement, production, and warehouse departments to ensure financial alignment across operations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement. Participate in the development of budgets and long-term financial planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is mandatory .
- Minimum of 10- 15 years' experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, SAGE, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
