We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, preparing accurate financial reports, managing statutory compliance, and ensuring efficient payroll and tax processes. This role requires a proactive professional with strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of accounting standards, and proficiency in financial tools.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax computations and remittances (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, Company Income Tax, etc.).
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions and reporting.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor daily financial operations such as invoicing, billing, and budget tracking.
- Maintain organised financial records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
- Assist with internal and external audits, and liaise with regulatory bodies when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation. Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC work experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Proven experience in handling taxation, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially in using spreadsheets for financial analysis.
- Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Tally) is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and Nigerian financial regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity, professionalism, and a good work attitude.
Preferred Candidate:
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Warri/Effurun, Delta State. Age not above 40 years.
Location: Warri/Effurun, Delta State
Remuneration: NGN 230,000 – 270,000 Monthly
