We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to menu development. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is committed to culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present meals according to restaurant standards and customer expectations
- Oversee day-to-day operations in the kitchen, ensuring efficient and timely food preparation
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and prep workers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the management team to plan and update seasonal or special menus
- Train new kitchen staff and ensure proper procedures are followed
- Monitor food costs and work to minimize waste
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant setting
- Culinary school education or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and work flexible hours.
