Job Position: Quality Control Officer (Hospitality Industry)

Job Purpose
- The Quality Control Officer ensures that all hospitality services — including accommodation, food & beverage, housekeeping, customer service, and safety standards — meet established quality benchmarks. The role involves monitoring operations, identifying gaps, implementing corrective measures, and maintaining a consistent guest experience aligned with the brand’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Monitoring:
- Inspect guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens, and other service areas to ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards.
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service to meet safety and customer expectations.
- Ensure all hospitality services are consistent with brand standards.
Compliance & Standards:
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Check staff adherence to service protocols, grooming, and customer interaction standards.
- Ensure compliance with local and international hospitality regulations.
Performance Evaluation & Feedback:
- Conduct audits, prepare quality reports, and track improvement areas.
- Collect guest feedback and analyze satisfaction surveys to identify service gaps.
- Provide corrective action plans and follow up on their implementation.
Training & Development:
- Work with HR and department heads to train staff on quality procedures.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellent guest service.
Coordination & Reporting:
- Collaborate with kitchen, housekeeping, front office, and maintenance teams to improve service delivery.
- Report findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Support management in preparing for internal and external audits or inspections.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- Previous experience in hotel/restaurant quality control or operations (2–4 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of hospitality service standards, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
Working Conditions:
- Based within the hotel/restaurant premises.
- Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on operations.
- Active role with both office work and on-the-floor inspections.
Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
