Role Summary
The Agricultural Program Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple agricultural initiatives, from crop production to agri-processing, distribution, and community engagement. The role involves working across internal teams, government and private agencies, farming cooperatives, and private sector partners to ensure that agricultural projects align with Arila Group’s sustainability, profitability, and impact goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage agricultural programs including crop cultivation, agro-processing, farmer support services, and market access initiatives.
- Coordinate multiple agriculture-related projects under one strategic framework, ensuring resource alignment, timely execution, and impact tracking.
- Build and manage relationships with government bodies, development partners, agricultural cooperatives, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead field assessments, feasibility studies, and pilot programs to inform long-term agricultural strategy.
- Oversee the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), sustainability standards, and climate-resilient methods.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance against defined KPIs such as yield improvements, income growth, land use efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, agronomists, and local extension workers.
- Manage budgets, procurement, reporting, and compliance in line with regulatory and donor requirements. Ensure knowledge-sharing and capacity-building across program teams and beneficiary communities.

Requirements
- 5+ years of program or project management experience in the agriculture sector (public, private, or NGO).
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end agricultural programs or portfolios.
- Strong understanding of crop value chains, climate-smart agriculture, and rural economics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites and work closely with field teams and rural communities.
- Proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and program reporting. Familiarity with government policies, donor funding mechanisms, and agricultural extension systems is a plus.
