UfarmX is a technology-driven agri-fintech platform improving access to finance for farmers across Africa. As we expand our impact, we are launching a B2B retail pilot in Nigeria aimed at onboarding agricultural retailers into our ecosystem to enable point-of-sale-based financing for farmers.
Objective of the Pilot:
- Onboard and activate 15–30 agri-retailers across Lagos, Oyo State, and Abuja.
- Integrate UfarmX POS systems and ensure each retailer is trained on offering credit-based inputs to farmers.
- Capture learnings to inform full-scale rollout.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement:
Identify and recruit high-potential agri-retailers.
Develop and manage relationships with key retail partners and vendors.
Retail Onboarding & Training:
- Oversee POS terminal deployment and ensure retailers are trained on UfarmX tools and credit systems.
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting during the onboarding process.
Field Operations & Monitoring:
- Manage day-to-day field operations during the pilot phase.
- Track performance metrics: transactions processed, farmers served, credit volume extended.
Reporting & Feedback:
- Deliver weekly status updates with insights and challenges.
- Collect feedback from retailers and farmers to optimize product-market fit.
Expected Deliverables:
- Minimum of 15 active retailers onboarded and transacting.
- Training documentation and performance dashboards per location.
- Pilot summary report with recommendations.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years in field operations, business development, or ag/retail technology deployment.
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s agri-supply chain and informal trade networks.
- Excellent organizational and people-management skills.
- Comfortable with travel, reporting, and field troubleshooting.
Compensation: To be discussed based on experience and proposed engagement model (consultancy or performance-based stipend).
