Responsibilities:

Production Operations Management:

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet output targets and delivery schedules
• Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs
• Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of processing equipment and machinery
Manage production schedules and coordinate with procurement for raw material requirements

Quality Control & Food Safety:

• Implement and maintain HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) protocols
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC regulations, organic certification standards, and international food safety requirements
• Conduct regular quality inspections and product testing throughout the production process
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production activities
Monitor and document critical control points, temperature logs, and quality parameters

Team Leadership & Management:

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff and supervisors
• Provide training on food safety, production techniques, and equipment operation
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs
• Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and innovation
Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and productivity levels

Documentation & Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and traceability systems
• Prepare detailed production reports, KPI dashboards, and operational summaries
• Ensure proper documentation of quality control tests, corrective actions, and process improvements
Manage inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products

Health & Safety Management:

• Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols and procedures
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience
• Degree in a related field
• Understanding of food processing methods, preservation, and quality standards
• Ability to maintain food safety protocols and quality assurance systems
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production staff.
• Skills in scheduling, workflow management, and process improvement
• Record meticulous attention to maintaining accurate production and quality records.
• Knowledge of NAFDAC food safety regulations and organic certification requirements
• Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions independently
• Skills in monitoring KPIs, analyzing production metrics, and preparing reports
• Understanding of food processing machinery operation and maintenance requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with different departments and stakeholders
