Job Summary
A Procurement Officer at Andster Engineering will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services to support our operations. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and monitoring supplier performance. Your attention to detail, negotiation skills, and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers will be essential to your success in this role.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Source Suppliers: Research potential suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to identify those that meet the company's requirements for quality, cost, and reliability.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, including financial stability, production capacity, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Negotiate Contracts: - Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and quality standards.
- Draft and review contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement-related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication, site visits, and performance evaluations.
- Resolve supplier issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner to ensure continuity of supply and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Coordinate Procurement Process: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and project managers, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to meet the company's short-term and long-term procurement objectives.
- Monitor Procurement Activities: Monitor procurement activities and expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and procurement policies.
- Track and report key procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and delivery performance, to management on a regular basis.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process. Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a procurement officer, purchasing agent, or similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law, and relevant regulations.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
