Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Mathematics Educator to join our team in Yaba. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in the Cambridge curriculum and a clear understanding of how to build students’ numeracy skills in preparation for upper levels, including Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.
- Introduce core mathematical concepts using interactive and student-centered approaches.
- Foster a strong numerical foundation that supports long-term academic success.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress through formative and summative methods.
- Provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support improvement.
- Support learners in transitioning from foundational concepts toward Cambridge Checkpoint benchmarks.
- Maintain accurate student records and contribute to academic reports.
- Collaborate with other educators and participate in continuous professional development.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline.
- PGDE or equivalent teaching certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Mathematics at the primary level.
- Strong familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum progression, including IGCSE standards.
- Excellent classroom management and instructional delivery skills.
- Proficient in the use of digital tools to enhance learning.
- Passion for early years’ education and student development.
