Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Presales Engineer with expertise in ERP and CRM business applications to support our sales team in delivering compelling, technically sound, and value-driven solutions to prospective clients. This role requires a unique blend of business process knowledge, technical aptitude, and presentation skills to position our software products effectively in competitive environments.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Discovery & Mapping
- Collaborate with sales to understand client requirements, pain points, and business goals.
- Conduct discovery sessions with clients to capture business needs and process flows.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical solutions using our ERP and CRM platforms.
- Product Demonstrations & Proposals
- Deliver tailored, high-impact product demonstrations to C-level and operational stakeholders.
- Build proof-of-concept configurations or prototype environments when needed.
- Prepare and present proposals, RFP responses, and technical documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing questions about product functionality, integration, scalability, and architecture.
- Liaise with product management, implementation, and development teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and solution capabilities.
- Market & Product Expertise
- Maintain deep knowledge of ERP and CRM modules (e.g., finance, procurement, HR, sales, marketing, service).
- Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies relevant to business applications.
- Collaboration & Enablement
- Support marketing and product teams with technical content, webinars, and thought leadership. Assist in training sales teams on new product capabilities and messaging.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in presales, solution consulting, or functional consulting for ERP and/or CRM systems.
- Strong understanding of business processes across departments (finance, supply chain, sales, customer service, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP or CRM platform (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Certifications in ERP/CRM platforms (e.g., Dynamics 365 CE/FO, Salesforce Certified Consultant, SAP FI/SD).
- Experience with cloud-based deployment models and SaaS-based solutions.
- Familiarity with integration platforms and APIs. Experience in vertical industries such as manufacturing, professional services, or retail is a plus.
