About the Role:
We are a reputable cosmetics manufacturing company located in Ajao Estate, Lagos, seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in operations management and accounting, with the ability to streamline processes, manage production workflows, and ensure financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production and factory operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor systems for inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
- Coordinate with production, sales, and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and cost control strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in manufacturing.
- Manage operational staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and training.
- Use accounting knowledge to track expenses, manage vendor payments, and support audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
- BSc/HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in operations or factory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid accounting background with proficiency in bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
