Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an NYSC Trainee Lawyer located in Lekki. As a Trainee Lawyer, you will be responsible for assisting with legal research, drafting legal documents, and supporting senior lawyers in court proceedings. Your daily tasks will include reviewing contracts, preparing briefs, and participating in client meetings. You will also gain exposure to various areas of law and develop practical legal skills under the supervision of experienced attorneys.
Qualifications & Requirements
Demonstrably strong
- legal research, drafting, critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Demonstrably excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Interest in any of the Technology, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Nigerian legal system and regulations. Bachelor's degree in Law and completion of Nigerian Law School with a minimum of 2:1.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must have been posted by the NYSC to Lagos State and be resident along the Lekki Expressway or environ.
- Candidates must be able to thrive in a high-pressure, fast‑paced environment, with the ability to truly own a matter.
- Candidates must demonstrate evidence of self regulation and strong mental discipline, and must be able to resist distractions and maintain high standards of accuracy, concentration and clarity, particularly when dealing with confidential, time-sensitive, or client-critical issues. Candidates must be location-adaptable and ready to fully engage with the Lagos‑Lekki office and client-facing duties.
