Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Officer to oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of our hospitality facility in the Idimu - Ikotun axis. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and able to perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure our hotel or guesthouse operates smoothly and remains in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the property, rooms, facilities, and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Carry out minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC repairs as required.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and documented.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Supervise external contractors when necessary and ensure work is done to acceptable standards.
- Maintain maintenance logs, inventory of tools and supplies, and request replenishment when needed.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are followed at all times.
- Monitor utility usage and suggest measures for energy efficiency.
Requirements :
- Minimum of SSCE; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, plumbing, or electrical work is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle emergency repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
- Must reside in Idimu - Ikotun area.
