Job Title: Kitchen Assistant
Reports to: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
Job Summary
The Kitchen Assistant supports the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, preparing basic ingredients, assisting chefs with food preparation, and ensuring hygiene standards are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation Support
- Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients as directed by the chef.
- Assist in the preparation of simple dishes (e.g., salads, sauces, garnishes).
- Ensure ingredients are properly stored and rotated to maintain freshness.
- Kitchen Cleanliness & Hygiene
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep work surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Empty and clean bins, following waste disposal procedures.
- Follow strict hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Stock & Equipment Management
- Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries.
- Check deliveries for quality and quantity.
- Store items in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and dating.
- Team Support
- Support chefs during busy service periods.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment (preferred but not essential).
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours and heavy lifting.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦50,000.00 - ₦55,000.00 per month
