Role Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert guidance on people management, organizational development, and talent strategies that drive Broadshift’s goals. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to ensure HR practices are aligned with business objectives while fostering a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Partnership
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals and provide HR solutions that support business growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Support recruitment efforts for key roles by partnering with hiring managers and talent acquisition teams.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires into the company culture.
3. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, workplace culture, and retention.
- Facilitate feedback loops to ensure employees feel heard and valued.
4. Performance Management
- Support managers in setting clear KPIs, conducting regular performance reviews, and developing improvement plans.
- Use data insights to identify trends and recommend interventions.
5. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning programs to enhance skills and career growth.
6. Employee Relations
- Manage employee relations issues with fairness, empathy, and adherence to company policy and Nigerian labour law.
- Provide conflict resolution support where necessary.
7. Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and ethical business practices.
- Maintain accurate HR records and reports for decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 3–5 years’ proven experience as an HRBP or similar HR role, preferably in the tech or financial services sector.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- High integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
