Prixair Group is seeking a proactive and street-smart HR/Admin Officer based in Minna, Niger State, who knows the local terrain and is capable of managing both administrative and HR responsibilities in a rugged, farm-based environment. This role requires someone who is resourceful, organized, and can operate independently while maintaining strong communication with the Head Office in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities
HR Documentation & Filing
Ensure all farm-based staff are properly documented (contracts, ID, credentials).
Create and maintain physical and digital personnel files.
Send periodic updates and documentation to the Abuja Head Office.
Staff Monitoring & Performance
Visit farm sites and field locations regularly.
Monitor and report on staff attendance, conduct, performance, and welfare.
Identify gaps in staff engagement or motivation and escalate to HR leadership.
Administrative Oversight
Coordinate and resolve day-to-day admin issues affecting the smooth running of farm operations.
Liaise with logistics, procurement, and security as needed to support operations.
Ensure operational materials, utilities, and other essentials are managed efficiently.
Feedback & Reporting
Serve as a communication bridge between field staff and the Head Office.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports covering HR and admin matters.
Raise red flags where necessary to prevent operational disruptions.
Compliance & Representation
Ensure local labor laws and internal HR policies are adhered to.
Represent the HR department on-site when external officials or agencies visit.
Ensure the day-to-day running of the office, including cleanliness, supplies, and maintenance.
Manage office assets, vendors, and service providers.
Travel & Logistics
Coordinate local and international travel logistics, hotel bookings, and transportation for staff or guests.
Facility Management
Ensure all office equipment and facilities are functional.
Monitor utility bills and liaise with facility providers (PHCN, water, etc.).
Documentation & Filing
Organize and manage both electronic and physical files and documents.
Maintain confidential HR and administrative records.
*Qualifications & Requirements*
OND/HND/BSc in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in HR or Admin roles.
Must be resident in Minna and familiar with the local terrain.
Rugged, street-smart, and able to work in remote or farm environments.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
Tech-savvy: Able to use basic HR or admin tools (Google Workspace, Excel, email, etc.)
Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, etc.) is an added advantage.
Preferred Attributes
Experience working in agricultural, rural, or decentralized environments.
Ability to speak local languages/dialects spoken in Niger State is a plus.
High level of integrity and discretion.
