Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify hazards and enforce preventive measures.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and vendors on all safety-related matters.
- Maintain documentation of safety inspections, training records, incident reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with national health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards.
- Train employees and contractors on HSE procedures, including emergency protocols and safe work practices.
- Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the General Manager and project teams with HSE planning and reporting for ongoing developments.
- Promote a culture of safety, responsibility, and environmental stewardship across all departments.
- Advise management on improvements in safety systems and risk controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- 3 - 6 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws and regulations.
- Experience with site audits, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness.
- HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or HSE Level 3 certification.
- Experience working in the real estate, construction, or property development sectors.
Salary
N260,000 - N350,000 / Month.
