Job Description/Requirements
Job Summary:
The Head of Retail Sales will lead the retail sales strategy and execution for consumer electronics across all retail channels. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, managing retail partners and outlets, and enhancing the customer experience. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of the consumer electronics retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement effective retail sales strategies aligned with company goals.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and motivate the retail sales team across multiple regions to achieve sales targets.
- Sales Performance Management:
- Monitor KPIs, analyze sales trends, and take corrective actions to ensure performance.
- Channel & Partner Management:
- Build and manage strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Retail Network Expansion:
- Identify and develop opportunities for new retail outlets and point-of-sale expansions.
- Product Positioning & Merchandising:
- Ensure optimal product placement, pricing, and in-store visibility in line with brand strategy.
- Customer Experience Oversight:
- Champion excellence in customer service standards at all retail touchpoints.
- Inventory & Supply Coordination:
- Work closely with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient distribution.
- Market Intelligence:
- Gather insights on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to support strategic decisions.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 8–10 years' experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within consumer electronics
- Strong understanding of the retail landscape and consumer buying behavior
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities Proficiency in CRM and retail management systems
