Job Summary
We are looking for a Power Electronics & IoT Technician with practical expertise in inverter design, PCB assembly, embedded systems, and IoT device testing. You will work hands-on in our R&D workshop, supporting the engineering team to assemble, iterate, and improve our hardware systems — from power electronics to smart connectivity modules.
Note: This is not a solar installation role.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test inverter circuits, MPPT charge controllers, and LiFePO₄ battery management systems
Solder, wire, and validate custom PCB designs for power electronics and control logic
Integrate and configure microcontrollers (e.g., Raspberry Pi, ESP32) with sensors, relays, and communication interfaces
Set up and test AI-enabled edge devices with camera modules and connectivity features
Install and troubleshoot SIM-based and satellite modules (e.g., SIMCOM, Quectel)
Work with AWS IoT Core, Greengrass, and other cloud services for device communication
Support programming and scripting tasks using C, C++, and Python for embedded and IoT devices
Assist in the validation of electrical safety, protections, and performance parameters
Maintain comprehensive documentation: system schematics, test results, technical logs
Required Qualifications
OND, HND, or Technical Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in power electronics, embedded systems, or IoT hardware integration
Solid understanding of inverter topologies, DC-DC converters, and power protection principles
Experience with soldering, PCB rework, and bench-level testing using lab tools
Familiarity with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or ESP32-based systems
Competence using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools
Ability to read circuit schematics and wiring diagrams accurately
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a rapid prototyping environment
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
Experience with edge AI devices and integration of security camera systems
Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, UART, I2C, SPI)
Basic knowledge of the Linux command line, networking, and embedded OS environments
