AKHIN Africa is a humanitarian nonprofit organization based in Oluyole, Ibadan. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and empower homeless and vulnerable youngsters through alternative learning spaces, vocational training, and storytelling. We are committed to creating sustainable solutions that address homelessness, poverty, and school dropout across Nigeria.

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with nonprofit organizations and a strong desire to contribute to social impact. You will play a vital role in mobilizing resources, building donor relationships, and supporting the organization’s mission to transform the lives of vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies (local and international)
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities
• Write compelling funding proposals and donor reports
• Manage donor relationships and communications
• Organize fundraising campaigns and events
• Maintain donor database and ensure timely follow-ups
• Collaborate with the communications team to produce donor materials
• Monitor fundraising goals and provide regular progress updates

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or donor engagement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Knowledge of the nonprofit sector in Nigeria
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, fundraising platforms, CRM tools)
• Passion for vulnerable children and social justice work

It will be a plus if you have extra skill such as:

1. Media (Video, Audio editing and camera handling)

2. Data collection and database management

3. Creative writing and storytelling

4. Any vocational skill

Benefits

• Basic Salary: ₦90,000/month
• Transport Allowance: ₦20,000/month
• Lunch Subsidy: ₦20,000/month
• Housing Subsidy: ₦20,000/month
• 7 days paid annual leave
• One-year medical insurance
