Job Title: Branch Manager
Department: Business Development
Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve the organization’s financial objectives. The role involves leading a high-performing team, identifying new business opportunities, creating impactful marketing campaigns, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial products and services, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of success in driving business growth within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Establish annual and monthly sales quotas, budgets, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with senior management to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business goals.
2. Sales Management
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and branch targets.
Oversee the entire sales lifecycle—from lead generation to deal closure.
Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and provide detailed reports to management.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
3. Marketing & Brand Management
Plan, develop, and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, events, etc.).
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials, platforms, and customer touchpoints.
Identify target markets and craft tailored messages to attract and retain customers.
Manage marketing budgets, track campaign ROI, and present performance insights to leadership.
Work with creative teams to deliver impactful content, promotional materials, and brand assets.
4. Financial & Administrative Management
Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and adherence to financial regulations (KYC, AML, data privacy, etc.).
Prepare and manage departmental budgets effectively.
Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and maintain accurate client data.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIM, CFA, PMP) is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in sales and marketing within the financial services industry.
- At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance house, fintech, or related financial institution.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
- In-depth understanding of financial products, services, and market trends.
- Sound knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management.
