Our client, a reputable SEC licensed fund manager and corporate investment adviser, with capitalization of N40 billion in AUM across a number of investment vehicles including ethical, money market, infrastructure and private equity funds with the mission to provide efficient financial services built on a culture of innovation, integrity and professionalism.
Job Title: Fund Accountant/ Investment Analyst (Halal Investment and Advisory)
Location: Marina, Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Halal investment portfolio and ensure high yields through ethical investments that are compliant with the Shari'ah principles
- Structure Ethical and Shari’ah-compliant investments like Mudarabah, Murabahah, and Sukuk for both Financial and Shari’ah advisory transactions for clients.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for Halal Funds, adhering to regulatory standards set by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Collaborate with Shari'ah Advisors and the Investment Committee in line with the investment strategies and Trust Deed.
- Ensure timely submission of comprehensive performance reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Ensure accurate and prompt distribution of quarterly dividends to unit holders.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, investment memos, and Investor documents.
- Assess and conduct market research to identify new investment opportunities and trends.
- Prepare the budget for the Halal Division and ensure proper tracking of the actual amount to the budgeted amount.
- Other projects / duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization.
Job Requirement
• A Bachelor’s degree in a finance or accounting. a professional degree or an MBA is a added advantage.
- Must have 3-5 quality years of post NYSC work experience in top tier banking, consulting, private equity or development finance institutions
- Candidates must have successfully passed at least Level I of the CFA Program, demonstrating advanced proficiency in financial analysis, equity and fixed income valuation, portfolio management, and ethical standards critical to investment decision-making.
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders ((including investment banks, banks, Development Finance Institutions, Securities & Exchange Commission and development agencies)) to support investments in high impact sectors.
- Excellent quantitative skills; ability to apply analytical rigor to complex and uncertain tasks
- Must have good attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
- Ability to develop innovative solutions to problems
- Must possess the capability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
