We are seeking energetic and service-oriented Food Service Associates to join our team at a fast-paced cinema food outlet. As the first point of contact for moviegoers, you’ll be responsible for taking orders, preparing light meals, processing payments, and ensuring a clean and friendly customer environment. This role requires strong multitasking, attention to hygiene, and a passion for excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and provide menu guidance.
- Take and confirm orders accurately.
- Upsell snacks, drinks, and available promotions.
- Handle feedback and escalate complaints professionally.
Food Handling & Prep
- Assemble and serve snacks such as shawarma, hot dogs, fries, and popcorn.
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices at all times.
- Monitor food stock levels and notify supervisor for restocking.
Point of Sale (POS) Operations
- Operate POS terminals for order entry and payment processing.
- Issue receipts and balance cash drawer at end of shift.
Cleanliness & Support
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow closing procedures, including cleaning routines and trash disposal.
- Assist with stock checks and back-of-house duties as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE / OND.
- At least 6 months to 1 year experience in food service, retail, or hospitality is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), cinema, or food kiosk is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in high-traffic periods.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and transaction handling.
- Team-player attitude with high attention to cleanliness and speed.
- Ability to stand for long periods during shifts.
- Willingness to lift light items and perform repetitive tasks
