Food Service Director
Industry: Global Food Company / FMCG
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Are you a dynamic food service professional with proven leadership in FMCG or hospitality?
We are looking for a Food Service Director to drive strategic growth, manage a national food service team, and expand market share for a global food company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement national food service strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the growth of existing products and oversee successful product launches.
- Manage and optimize the redistribution model of sales.
- Expand and maintain a strong customer base with the support of your team.
- Ensure individual and team achievement of food service sales targets.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to support decisions on pricing, promotions, and distribution.
- Establish vendor and inventory management systems to reduce cost and boost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the sales management team to define and execute sales plans.
- Provide timely sales reports and updates to senior leadership.
- Train and support general sales staff in line with the company’s food service goals.
- Host regular review sessions with the sales team to evaluate performance and strategy.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and drive cross-selling opportunities.
- Foster and grow key client relationships while expanding the sales team’s client portfolio.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant professional certification in Marketing or Sales.
- Proven sales management experience in a reputable FMCG company.
- Experience managing a redistribution model.
- Strong leadership with a visionary approach to market expansion.
- Track record of managing multiple sales supervisors.
- Commercial acumen with a keen understanding of market trends and customer behavior.
- Preferred background: leading hotels (e.g., Radisson, Oriental, Eko Hotel), restaurants (e.g., Chicken Republic, Eat’n’Go), or major FMCG brands (e.g., Nestlé).
