About Our Client
Our Client has launched an initiative to accelerate the metering of electricity consumers across Nigeria. Our client’s mission is to eliminate estimated billing, improve transparency, empower consumers, and catalyse the long-term sustainability of the power sector. As the programme scales rapidly, our client is looking for dynamic professionals to join the strategic delivery team.
Job Summary
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for driving data, strategy, and operational decision-making in finance matters, and will partner closely with programme leaders to shape financial strategy, drive cost efficiency, and ensure the financial integrity of an important reform initiative in the energy sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop financial strategies aligned with programme goals.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Track and analyse programme spending, ensuring alignment with budget and financial controls.
- Lead financial reporting processes and prepare strategic dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify risks and opportunities across the initiative and propose actionable recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, donor requirements, and internal controls. Contribute to the development of financial systems, tools, and processes that support growth and scalability.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Experiences
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a finance role, with at least 3 years in a business partnering or financial planning & analysis capacity.
- Proven experience working in large-scale programmes, infrastructure, energy, or development sectors.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial modelling, cost control, and performance analysis.
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills; experience with ERP platforms is an advantage.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insight. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
