Job Title: Field Market Intelligence & Consumer Research Analyst
Location: Lagos (extensive in-market travel required)
Salary: ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 monthly
Reports To: Marketing Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a Field Market Intelligence & Consumer Research Analyst to support our commercial and product strategy through on-ground market visits, competitive intelligence, and consumer testing. You’ll play a hands-on role gathering actionable insights from across key markets to guide internal decisions.
This role requires frequent field travel (up to 1–2 months at a time), especially across major cities and open markets.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular field visits to track retail execution, competitor activities, and product performance.
Lead consumer research sessions (interviews, focus groups, testing).
Monitor pricing trends, packaging comparisons, and promotional activities.
Compile insights and recommendations in clear reports for marketing, product, and sales teams.
Build and update dashboards using Excel or Power BI.
Maintain strong coordination with field sales and trade marketing teams.
Requirements
2–4 years in market research, sales analysis, or trade marketing (FMCG preferred).
Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI or data visualization tools is an advantage.
Excellent communication and observation skills.
Detail-oriented and self-driven with strong reporting discipline.
Willingness to travel extensively and work independently in field locations.
